About the Department

Overview of the Physics Department

The Department of Physics at Woldia University was established in 2011 when the Faculty of Natural and Computational Sciences was opened. The Physics Department is now placed under the College of Natural and Computational Sciences, offering both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The department teaches several fundamental courses to students in other disciplines. It offers comprehensive education in theoretical and experimental physics, designed to provide the student with a range of skills relevant to the pursuit of scientific and technological careers. In this respect, it develops active research and contributes to the scientific development of the nation through various projects and activities.
